Joseph Elmer Smith

Joseph Elmer Smith (Joe) was born October 7, 1914. in Omaha, Nebraska. His parents were John Elmer Smith and Emma Ethel Bertrand.

He married Joy Alma Norman in Papillion, Nebraska on May 21, 1936. Joy was born in Hampton, Iowa on November 7, 1914. Her parents were James L. Norman and Lulu Jester.

Joe was on an Airforce ground crew in Karney  Nebraska and was trained in Armarillo, Texas.

He became a widower when Joy died on February 9,  1987 in Fresno, California.

Joe died on April 4, 2005 in Santa Maria, California.
